Poppy Dharsono dress collections in Indonesia Fashion Week bring the mini Indonesian cultures


Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW) 2013 which was held on 14-17 February 2013 give chance to any Indonesian fashion designers to show their talent and their creativity  They proved it by provide the widest possible space for the richness of Indonesian culture on this event.

Not only the organizers who always seem to wear fabrics characterized the archipelago, the designers are also not tired of Indonesia continues to explore a variety of fabric into beautiful works of fashion. They are trying to break the perception of rigid style of traditional cloth into a stylish collection that can be used in various events.


On the closing night held at the Jakarta Convention Center on Sunday (02/17/2013), the senior designer Poppy Dharsono fashion classic featuring the work of Indonesia as a more modern kebaya. Performances presented by PT Pos Indonesia gives an opportunity to bring Poppy ready to wear fashion-themed "Modern Classic Archipelago Indonesia," Indonesia will feel thick.

A total of 26 collections of traditional fabrics, such as fabrics float, batik solo, endeg Bali, Sumba weaving and batik coastal, accidentally transformed into a dress that looks very classy and modern. Batik cloth used as a wide long skirt, and paired with a modern kebaya. The color palette also reinforce the impression of luxury options such as purple, orange, and red.

The selection of silk material, taffeta  cotton, raw silk, lace and chiffon, making fashion more luxurious. Kebaya impression of rigid and complicated even disappear, transformed into elegant fashion, comfortable, and luxurious.

Besides kebaya, Poppy Dharsono collection consists of bolero, cropped jacket, dress, modern kebaya with the creation of cloth skirt length and width, jumpsuits, pants, coats, skirts rumple  as well as the outcome robe dress like the royal noble.
